Job Search in December

Hi All,
You might be asking yourself, "why bother to search for a job in December when everyone is focused on the holidays?" I've been reading a great deal on why you should be continuing your job search in December and how not doing so could cost you a job. December is typically a month where work slows down in most companies. It is during this time that you could possibly reach those people you want to reach. December is also a time when people are thinking about others - getting into the Holiday spirit! Some people are much more interested in helping others at this time than at any other time of year. And one last thing to consider about December is that it is a time for holiday gatherings. Perhaps you are part of a civic group or professional group. If they have a holiday party, it could be the perfect time to network with people who may know about job openings that you are qualified for.

With all these things in mind, it does seem like continuing your job search, or even increasing it, could be the best thing for you and your possibilities to get the new job you want for the New Year.
